I've been laughing uncontrollably at credit card pranks, but it's so silly.

I just took pictures of my teary eyes.

What's your reaction?

almost all of that guy's pranks are awesome.

I spent most of my friday reading almost every prank, cackling, looking around hoping no one else noticed, because laughter and my job don't go together, then back to reading.

Funny.

Of course, even if merchants don't verify signatures, the credit card company still protects cardholders. Credit card companies are ultimately liable for fraudulent charges. I've heard of cardholder liability of up to $50, but that's it.

As I understand it, if the signature is invalid, the merchant can be held liable for not verifying it. The cardholder is still protected.

I wanna see the teary eye pictures. :)

Signature

It was my understanding that any mark you make is a signature. Having the signature match is a useful check for the store; however if you make a mark, then you are agreeing to the contract no matter what you write and whether it matches or not.

If you aren't willing to lose $50 when someone steals or fakes your credit card; I recommend not getting a credit card.

But I could be wrong.
