fitting an air-conditioner
Jul. 17th, 2009 11:50 amSince my apartment feels so hot over the summer (regardless of the temperature outside), I decided to buy an air-conditioner. I measured the width of my window, went on Craigslist, and bought a little one. I just spent $50 + $27 in taxi.
What I didn't realize is that:
* the AC didn't come with adjustable arms
* even if it did, it will not fit properly in any of my windows without huge amounts of styrofoam (all my windows slide sideways)
To fit my windows, an AC would need to be 120cm tall (rather than 32cm). For now, the 88cm gap is covered by a curtain...
---
UPDATE: I've covered it with wood + posterboard
