Links about Intelligence Amplification
According to studies, Huperzine A seems to enhance memory. Can anyone recommend "intellectual drugs"? Amsterdam's SmartShops apparently can't.
Procrastination and Self-Help talks about different types of procrastinators. All of them are somehow caused by weakness of will or temporary self-deception.

Date: 2004-08-19 05:08 pm (UTC)The procrastination link is interesting, I'm reading through it. They don't seem to fully acknowledge depression and related mental states, though. In those cases there can be a lack of will, which is different from a weakness of it, no? I think that essay's perspective contains some false dichotomies that confuse the issues.
I think the "chicken-and-egg" paradoxical nature of procrastination needs to be acknowledged, or for many people the proposed solutions make the problem worse....
