Links about Intelligence Amplification

According to studies, Huperzine A seems to enhance memory. Can anyone recommend "intellectual drugs"? Amsterdam's SmartShops apparently can't.

Procrastination and Self-Help talks about different types of procrastinators. All of them are somehow caused by weakness of will or temporary self-deception.

A steady, small amount of caffeine seems to help me in general but I don't have the side-effects some people do from that. I tried Huperzine-A for a month or two but I didn't notice a subjective effect; I'd be interested to hear of any simple tests I could do regularly in a way that could help me evaluate my mental abilities. Ideally I'd like to monitor my brain as easily as people monitor their heart rate.

The procrastination link is interesting, I'm reading through it. They don't seem to fully acknowledge depression and related mental states, though. In those cases there can be a lack of will, which is different from a weakness of it, no? I think that essay's perspective contains some false dichotomies that confuse the issues.

I think the "chicken-and-egg" paradoxical nature of procrastination needs to be acknowledged, or for many people the proposed solutions make the problem worse....
