Flavia and her friends

guslI've been getting out with my cousin Flávia and her friends. They are mostly students from the university's arts center, so it's a rather interesting bunch. We've gone out 4 or 5 times, and yesterday we played communication games (guess the song, guess the word, etc.) There were some amazing correct guesses: "thing; historical; broke the ice": "TITANIC!", and learned some strange facts like "Hawaii is in Polynesia".
Today I went to a feijoada (like a barbeque but with "feijoada", beans+meat soup thing) with them, and had a nice short blues jam.
But I've been feeling socially apathetical lately.
Maybe it's from living with my family.
Maybe it's because people here are already in tight groups (like most groups you find around here), and I'm an outsider. I'm also ignorant of many local memes.
Maybe it's because I have no idea where I'll be in the future, but that sounds unlikely (in Europe I had a great time with people I knew I wouldn't see in the long term).
Maybe it's because I'm too uptight for a Brazilian, in terms of closeness. I've been noticing that.
Maybe I'm just not interested in people here. But every now and then I meet a charming individual.
