BCC consciousness campaign
Dec. 6th, 2005 01:51 pmI think we should start a BCC consciousness campaign. I suspect that most "victims" are too shy to complain. My signature is ignored by a few people.
Leaving my email open for all to see not only causes future spam, but it also screws up my mail filtering. I think the problem is that BCC is not shown by default in many clients. If it were my choice, I would have made it the default "To"... right next to the Public-To, and CC, both of which would have big red warnings.

Netiquette: if sending a message to multiple recipients (>3), please make sure to hide my email in the BCC. This prevents spam.
