Dear LJ Genie
How can I set up filters on my posts?
crasch has the page http://www.livejournal.com/users/crasch/friends/geek
which only features 2 posts, both by himself.
If I make a friends group and add myself to it, its friends page would show all my entries.
Did
crasch do this by creating a friends group called "geek"? If so, how do you label posts as "geek"? He can't be messing with their security, because then they would no longer be public.

-set the security of a given post to be visible to the geek filter.

Date: 2005-05-29 02:30 pm (UTC)While http://www.livejournal.com/users/crasch/friends/geek only shows entries
(1) shows all of my entries (when I put myself in the "music" friends group), or
(2) shows nothing (when I don't put anyone in the "music" friends group)
In particular, my drumming entry is no longer publically viewable. With (1) above, it's showing precisely the wrong entries that are shown to the public: they can see all my public entries, *except* for the music.
It's not a matter of entry-security, so it should have nothing to do with friends, but I know that LJ mixed up those concepts, so anything is possible.
I strongly believe that filtering should be integrated with memories (maybe through RSS).
