Waking up with a misaligned back + heavy lifting = disaster. That was yesterday, but it's not any better today.

Are there scientific physicians who are interested in spinal alignment?

I'd like to have a set of frequent unit tests for my musculoskeletal system, so that when something fails, I work on fixing it before letting it break more.

Saw a doctor rightaway, and the wait was <5 minutes! Here is what she prescribed:
* 1 Naproxen twice a day (with food)
* Keep moving / do not lie around. This agrees with the fact that I woke up feeling really bad this morning.
* Heat, buy a squishy hot water bottle. My room was unusually cold tonight, which helps explain my symptoms this morning.

Unit tests for the body would be a great idea. I'm always amazed when I encounter people who are incautious with their bodies, and seem to have the attitude that a body is like a modern fool-proof appliance -- no ordinary action could possibly damage it, so of course I can lift heavy objects while my back hurts, what could be the problem? -- and end up giving themselves permanent damage as a result.
