bleg: installing LaTeX in Ubuntu
Jun. 10th, 2010 01:02 amI've been struggling with making LaTeX work in Ubuntu. When I try to install texlive with apt-get, I get "updmap-sys failed".
The FreeNode channels #latex and #ubuntu are unresponsive.
The output in /tmp/updmap.oIpKzr5c says:
I do have this file, at /usr/share/texmf-texlive/fonts/map/dvips/eurosym/eurosym.map but I don't know the right place.
