note-taking, tablet PC
Apr. 20th, 2010 10:34 amI would like to have a tablet PC attached to a camera, with software allowing me to:
* take a picture of the board, and show it on my screen instantly
* let me annotate it
i.e. like augmented reality for class notes.
But for now, I would be satisfied with anything better than Windows Journal / MS Office OneNote. Exporting as image files (including PNG) and PDF must be supported!
And by the way, it's about time I got over MS Paint. Any free lightweight alternatives?

I've read of people taking math classs notes in LaTeX, which I suspect would work.
There are memory cards for cameras with built in wifi, which would let you use a real camera, and upload it without manually swapping the cards.
The new google docs drawing allows for collaborative editing. I know you didn't mention it, but it's something to check out.
