touchpad insanity

guslMy touchpad has been hallucinating things since around the time I started running this big job (which should be done tonight). It's really annoying, and I've been musing on whether I can get a straitjacket program.
There are specific patterns in what it likes to do, e.g. move down very suddenly and click. This often results in opening the calendar, and occasionally in moving my taskbar from the bottom to the right.
Sometimes I don't notice what it's done for a while. When it changed my Facebook language to Spanish, I thought I was just looking at Facebook friends who had set their profiles to be in Spanish.
