working out

I'm currently feeling the afterglow of 1.5 hour of working out with Henrik.

I have(had) a negative image of gyms in my head: boring people performing repetitive movements to crap music, but in fact it seems like the most practical way to get a work out. After this first experience, it actually seems ok.

I feel more disposed to do stuff, despite the pain behind my knees. So it seems that working out also has a short-term effect.

The machines kinda suck, though. Poor user interface, and don't explore the huge potential for video games... if they gave me highly-structured goals (with subgoals, etc.) with immediate feedback and perhaps a nice story with avatars (i.e. the principles of addictive video games), people like me would be motivated to work out. But in principle, a chasing game would be enough.
Anyway, I managed to motivate myself enough.

On the way back, I heard singing coming from De Portugees. They have these events where the whole restaurant sings folk songs. It's very lively and nice, though a bit crowded and I don't know anyone.
