Even though the site claims to be correct 26% of the time (sample of 187), which I guess is very statistically significant, let me proclaim that I am still a skeptic. The result didn't surprise me because my astrological profile happens to be pretty accurate. I even studied an astrology book when I was still a believer.
There have been studies about this sort of thing before confirming my skepticism, but you never really know.

I don't believe in astrology for a minute, but this is pretty weird that they got both of ours right. I think I might go back and try it again, selecting a random birthdate just to make sure he's not cheating by using the one you enter in.

Date: 2004-03-13 11:57 am (UTC)One interesting use for this--even assuming that the success of this site was merely anecdotal--is that people could take it and find out what their "real" horoscope is (based on their personality), and then maybe checking their horoscope would actually be of some use. Since presumably, the advice is based on someone with those personality traits.
