I'm tempted to make a visit to the Bay Area on the way back, say from July 4th till the 8th (if they agree to drop me off in SFO, I'd only have to pay for a one-way SFO->YVR flight). * remember to enter the USA as a B1 (business) visitor
* bring my GSM phone, buy a prepaid card
* rent a car? (with Enterprise it would cost <$500 for June 10 - July 2... but adding insurance + gas + taxes should make this infeasible... I might instead rent for a couple of weekends.)
* buy a new digital camera. I've not had one since ~October. I wouldn't hesitate to get a Powershot again, if they compressed their own videos.
