guslI was about to post my application essay for a PhD in CS at Tufts.
However:
* I didn't manage to save my latest copy: the one I submitted
* I can't copy and paste across certain applications. Basically, I would have to send myself an email to a web-based account, and copy from that browser window to this browser window. In terms of kludge, I have done worse, but it was always worthwhile and/or interesting somehow. So this will have to wait.
which goes to show comfortable I'm feeling with Linux.
This free-software thing is costing me a lot more than I expected.
