lightning research
Apr. 11th, 2009 03:19 amBetween March 3 and today, Chris and I produced a paper that could easily go to a (second-tier) conference (this despite all our other business), from idea to paper... in an area that we weren't that familiar with. (We read 3 papers, had ~100 email conversations and chats, and roughly 25 phone calls. For my part, I produced 30 570 bytes of Matlab code. He had some Python too. We produced thousands of plots and looked carefully at ~100.)
This is very satisfying. There would be several things to polish and extend before sending it to a conference, but nothing that couldn't be done in a week of dedicated time.
