One of my least favorite parts of paper-writing is realizing that your analysis is slightly-wrong/suboptimal/not-super-relevant, and the dilemma of how to say "here's why you might want to reject this paper" without being too convincing.

In the social sciences we usually have a whole section of the paper devoted to "Limitations," but I guess in the hard sciences you don't do that... IIRC I've tended to see it folded into Future Work (since you can talk there about the parts that need improvement).

Just think of it as a test for the reviewers :)
