guslJust to rub in how unnecessary the whole ordeal was, HP's PC Recovery has an option "Recover PC's original factory installation and backup data" as its first option. "The current Windows installation, applications, files and data will be moved to C:\Backup and your Initial Recovery Point will be recovered."
