Windows annoyances

I was just in an IMversation with madbard, and a window pops up "Accept Message?", but this happened in the split second between my typing "uncertai" and "n". So, I rejected the message, and now I can't even find out who sent it.

thats got to be one of the things i hate most about most guis. designers must think randomly changing the focus and interrupting what im doing to ask stupid questions is ok.
