They have a password, as if someone would steal bandwidth from a moving bus. I'm being forced to watch The Bourne Ultimatum again.
Scheduled to arrive at my DC stop around 2pm.

That's really interesting. I imagine a swarm of cars struggling to keep up with the bus so someone in the backseat can use their laptop (unrealistic).

In Berkeley, a small fraction of AC Transit buses have wifi, and I have definitely used it while not on the bus. Your bus to DC, however, probably spent most of it's time on the highway.
