flight rebooked; my screwages in perspective

USPS guarantees that I'll have my passport back by noon.

I booked a new flight for Monday, with Orbitz, for $200 more than the original flight. It's unclear whether I'll get *ANY CREDIT* back from Expedia, despite what they told me when I decided to cancel.

Since I'm totaling costs, I should add this: 3 stressful hours on the phone/Internet.

In the worst case, amount of screwage = $1450 + 3 lost days in Finland + stress. This would compete for the top of the following list.

My list of screwages:
* 2003, someone hit my parked car, the day I was going to the dealer to sell it: ~$1400 in unreimbursed damage + ~$100 postponed flight + stress
* 2006, replanning Munich-Pittsburgh flights due to lacking a transit visa: $548
* 2006-2008, O2 refusing to close my account: 360Euro ~= $432
* 2006-2008, poor choice of dental plan at CMU: ~$336
* 2003, heavily using a Cingular cell phone that had a minimalistic calling plan, over 1 month: ~$300
* 2004, not paying the Internet/phone bill (KPN) under my housemate's name: ~150Euro (~$180) contract-cancellation fee + no Internet for a couple of weeks
* 2005, STA Travel hostel cancellation in Edinburgh: 60quid ($120) + stress
