bleg: digital camera recommendations

Desiderata:
* downloading to a computer is fast, painless, and done by USB
* should hold about 1 GB
* can do video
* zoom range >= 4x or 6x
* fits in a pocket
* won't get ripped off in case I need a new charger (or other essential accessory)

i wouldn't choose anything but a sony or canon though, so i may be biased.

Date: 2008-06-04 05:14 pm (UTC)I'm not particularly up on digital cameras. But I think most cameras run with media like various forms of SD or compact flash in them. Which should let you choose the capacity price point you prefer approximately independent of other considerations.
