When you said group theory, I thought of the psychological kind of group theory/group dynamics, a la Irvin Yalom, buttt . .. . I was wrong. Although it would be learning to put machines in a group of machines and see what happens. If it hasn't already been done.

My concern, for the machines, especially as AI gets more complex, is what happens when people are abusive to the AI and it learns from that behavior?

I think machine learning is a lot like microprocessors: the scope and complexity of the mathematics you need to stay current doubles every 24 months.
