Meetup causes spam!

guslUsing my technique of giving a different email address to each category of person / website, I have finally managed to track my first source of spam. Look at the email header to see how.
Meetup is a great idea... badly implemented. For instance, we can't choose dates and to nominate our own places, we have to pay. Somebody please start the free-software equivalent of meetup.
Anyway, here it is:

Meetup requires an email address so that we can get in touch with you if the Meetup is cancelled and to alert you about other updates. We request a password so that you can log in later. We do not spam you, and we do not share your email with anyone. See our Terms of Service for the nitty-gritty.

What meetup does:
While it is *POSSIBLE* that someone figured out I had a meetup account and figured out my meetup email address, this seems unlikely. Next time, I could sign up with a random string @ optimizelife.com . That way there would be no denying. The other advantage to this technique is that I can now block this spam by forwarding all meetup@optimizelife.com email to my junk POP/webmail account.
