My father is visiting me today. Any suggestions about where I should take him?

I intend to give him a slice of my life: the office, the cluster, the gym. Maybe we should play racquetball.

Hi Gustavo,

We exchanged a few emails over the summer, I believe, and I just saw you on LJ again and thought I'd add you. I hope you you don't mind.

As for places to take your father: perhaps a ride on the Incline up to the top of Mt. Washington? The view of the city from up there is pretty amazing.

Otherwise, there's Primanti Brothers for a sandwich, perhaps Phipps Conservatory...

For food, I suggest Abay.
For places:
The West End Overlook is rather nice (it's similar to the incline-top but more secluded)
The museums near campus are pretty nice. The history museum (which is not) is also nice
The parks are nice for a walk
Squirrel Hill is a cute neighbourhood for a walk too (the shopping centre and library, etc)
If you have a car, the North Side parks are rather nice (if you know how to get there)

In what sense is the history museum not near campus? Is there another history museum? If so, where is it - I want to go!

The Heinz History Center, on Smallman street (near downtown), is fantastic. Check it out!
