My work laptop's resolution is 1920x1200.

This is a pain in the ass for using Firefox (and probably other browsers). Things only look right when my window is about half as wide (but then the text is too small to read).

* For one thing, the default font size is *always* too small. Whenever I load a webpage, I need to do Ctrl+=. I haven't been able to change this setting.
* Second, even after I increase the font size, lots of web pages look very narrow. This is because they are hard-coded for a certain screen width, defining table widths in number of pixels, instead of a percentage of the screen width. (example)

Can't Firefox pretend it has a lower resolution, magnifying things to fit the window?

Magnification is on the menu for 3.0. Hopefully it'll make it in.
