more urgently, I need a PDA

I'm interested in a plain PDA, not wireless connectivity. Is it possible to buy a Blackberry without a phone plan? For how much?

I can get a Treo for $399 (specs). This is the keyboard model, and includes a camera. Two concerns: (1) the price is kinda high, and (2) the Palm syncing software has a history of breaking in my machines.

For (2), maybe I can buy better syncing software. I need to borrow a computer that I can test these things in. Does CMU have something like that, a place where you can borrow equipment?

I have a windows pocket pc thing (I've had it for a while) that I don't use. It has no wireless connectivity, is pretty plain, etc. Come take a look at it, I'm sure we can work something out.

heh, i also have a pretty simple ipaq pocket pc if you want.... i'd have to find it and check out the exact model number, but it's fairly simple and quite light, etc. this might be it but i'm not sure exactly.
