driving without a mirror; selling the car, finally

Driving without a driver-side rear-view mirror is very annoying. In some ways it's safer than driving with a blind spot, but it sucks to turn one's head 150 degrees and back so quickly. Especially when the cold weather, the sun and the salty windshield make one's vision even harder. About 2 weeks ago, I literally stopped the car on Huntington Ave because the sun was in my face and the windshield was white with salt.

I took everything that was worthwhile out of the car. Had one of the salesmen drive me to the commuter rail on my car. I cannot remember another moment when somebody else drove my car.
