arriving in Brazil

guslI am now in Brazil. I arrived this Saturday after a delayed flight. In London, they put me up in an Edwardian suite of the Radisson Edwardian hotel for a night. The cost: 723 pounds. ~ US$1100
It wasn't that much really, just a really big bed in a normal room attached to a living room with a couple of couches. The bathroom had, besides a normal shower, a jacuzzi. I don't get it. Maybe it's the choice of the royals or something.
