wrapping things up in Boston
Aug. 1st, 2002 04:12 pmI am taking my laptop with me to Europe. I'll try to be as connected as I can. I have a network card as well as a modem built-in. I've been looking for a Europe-wide dial-up ISP with toll-free numbers, but nothing has been satisfactory.
My ATT account is about to be canceled, so I will also need a POP account.
Any suggestions? Would a calling card be a reasonable solution?
I've just taken a loot at netstumbler.com, but it doesn't look that helpful.

Date: 2002-08-06 05:23 am (UTC)If I go work for them, I'm guessing I'll go back in about a month. If not, I'll be going to Brazil in November / December / when I've spent enough money. I intend to go to Tufts in January.
By the way, what I had heard was that there was this free "cloud" of connectivity in some cities. Nothing could beat that.
Btw, Laura, you need a LJ account.
