Here are my class descriptions

On this first semester, I intend to visit about 9 classes and stay with about 5.

taking:
Core Logic
Intro to Modal Logic

possibly taking:
Game Theory for Information Sciences
Logic and Cognition
Structures for Semantics
Reasoning with Uncertainty
Caput LLI
Philosophy of Cognition
Information Retrieval
Natural Language Semantics

Sounds fascinating, doesn't it? But I've learned to be skeptical of my own fascinations: they don't always last, especially when you have to get down to ugly details. So I'm only committed to taking what I'm required to take. That and my decision-avoidant personality. This program is great because it opens doors in many directions.

I felt the same way looking at that program, but I never got my Fulbright, so I really couldn't afford to do that. But the program I'm in at Berkeley allows similar freedoms. My problem now is figuring out what in particular I want to do. All those classes sound great though!

Hi! I've taken part of the same program four years ago. I hope you won't get angry, but watch out the number of classes you will be in. There's a lot interesting things, but you should focus (and get good grades) at those you *really* want to work with. Otherwise you might run into troubles. That's just a piece of advice...
