"data science"

The Swedish word for Computer Science is "datavetenskap" (data(?)-science).
Generally speaking, Computer Science is known as the "science of information". The "science of data" is obviously Statistics. "data" and "information" are different views of the same thing.

Therefore, when talking to laypeople, instead of trying to explain what "Machine Learning" is, I should describe myself as a "Data Scientist".

Yesterday, Patrik, Suvi, Frederick and I went to Patrik's family's amazing island cottage. His parents picked us up by boat.

Summary:
* hiking in this exotic landscape
* wild strawberries
* sauna followed by cooling at the ocean (twice). It should go without saying that our clothing stayed behind.
* dinner / barbecue
* wine
* good conversation

P.S.: their property doesn't have running water, so they use a well for drinking + rain water for washing dishes. But they *do* have wireless Internet. They obviously have their priorities straight.
