non-obvious places to find lots of Brazilians:

* Newark, NJ, USA
* Framingham, MA, USA
* Gort, County Galway, Ireland

Any more?

There should be lists of communities like this, at least for the purposes of linguistic or sociological research.

There's a city in Japan with an especially large Brazilian community, many members of which have lived there several generations, but I can't remember the city. Hamamatsu? Google finds a lot of pages containing both Brazil and Hamamatsu, at least.

I can vouch for Framingham, there are several blocks of storefronts with Brazilian flags or names.
