Have any of you tried Ray Kurzweil's diet supplements?

It's an interesting idea... I wonder how many years one could gain just by "eating optimally". I think Aubrey de Grey would argue that not many (generalizing on his opinion about caloric restriction).

For those who don't know, Ray Kurzweil cured his own Type II diabetes, despite the medical establishment. He was already a very rich man, and yet he had to do the research himself.

He's also written a book arguing that at most 10% of one's calories should come from fat. (here's a Wikipedia summary

Kurzweil has a broader idea of how to increase longevity than just dietary supplements...and while his aspirations sound rather crackpottish, his determination and his methods are quite impressive. I have no doubt that he produces stuff well above the average quality (not that that says much re dietary supplements). Much of the food pyramid and the ingredients in his supplements actually sound a lot like the latest research relayed to me through my almost-a-journal fitness magazine (they actually cite recent research papers, a notable improvement over other mags).

I'm curious about the Immune Formula, since I get "sick" more often than most due to obnoxious allergies. A couple of the ingredients claim to reduce allergy problems.

I didn't read the article, but my dad also cured his type 2 diabetes by switchign to a predominatly atkins diet, adding some supplements, and excercising.

That's awesome. It also seems to be the opposite of what Kurzweil's recommending, but he's largely considered a crank.

In the world of fast-food and GM products you must know how to slenderize? But I know, how to lose weight! (http://pillscheaprxpharmacy.net/products/weight_loss/lipothin/)
