heat pipe valve noise
Dec. 9th, 2010 01:01 amI live on the 6th and top floor of a building. I know this is NYC and buildings here are old, but not only does my room have a pipe going through it, the valve is also here, which means that when the system needs to depressurize, it lets off steam inside my room. So I wonder: can't they move this up to the roof? Can't they install some sort of acoustic insulation box around the valve?
A plumber will have a look at it this morning.
