Is anyone expecting to see the aurora borealis tonight? What are the chances it will go as low as 49N?

If it's a real storm, very good. We used to go Aurora spotting pretty regularly during the previous cycle. Spaceweather.com is a great resource for planning.

Hopefully if it does, it will either come down to Seattle too, or repeat itself when I come to Vancouver on the 8th!

It's not unusual to see the aurora in northern North Dakota, which is south of 49N. I've seen it a few times in southern Minnesota, but not frequently.
