I don't think of myself as a supertaster or anything, but to me, spelt bread tastes like normal bread.

And spelt beer tastes exactly like wheat beer. Unlike buckwheat beer, which has a quite distinctive taste.

I also can't tell Kamut(R) from any other variety of wheat.

Last time I was in Oslo, I saw a sign outside a café advertising a sandwich with spelt bread. The sign said, "I've cast a spelt on you".
