I have an offer to do a PhD at Columbia Statistics.

I have many years on most CS people... 2 years at UvA, 2 years at CMU, 2 years at UBC. Now I'm finally going to settle down somewhere for 4 years or more.

You mean youve got 3 consequent MAs under your belt? Thats curious, given that somebody is up to fund it :)
What are you up to in Columbia? Gelman is really cool but his work doesnt look like your thing.

UvA: MSc in Logic, lots of classes + tutoring + a very silly thesis
CMU: 60% programming + 40% research (my most productive research time so far!)
UBC: MSc in Computer Science, lots of classes + a decent thesis

I started applying for PhDs back in 2005, but I was never satisfied with the offers I got... until now.
