I just got an offer for a 1BR apartment in Thunderbird. While I appreciate not sharing an apartment with random UBC students, this place would be too big and too expensive, not to mention that the move-in date is Jan 13, which would leave me couch-surfing / commuting from Port Moody for 10 days in January.

I would prefer to live at a graduate residential college (free social life with potentially interesting folks + cheaper), but the earliest I'll hear from any of them is Dec 2. I need to tell Housing this and hope they will understand, and extend my offer.

This reminds me that I haven't yet sent my CV / written my statement.
