heh. Straight lines don't necessarily mean no stopping. In that line from the Basque Country to Amsterdam, I stopped in Paris for a whole week (Amsterdam was only decided when I was in Paris). I've also slept over in Frankfurt, and spent a whole day in Heidelberg.
I've only been to Switzerland to go skiing, at Les Collons (Quatre Vallées). The line on the map is the long bus trip from the airport.

Belgium is in fact the only country that I've passed through without spending substantial time. 3 times, in fact. (Two trips)
In Luxembourg, I spent half of a day walking around / taking a bus.
