Seattle postponed; moving ideas for August

guslI shan't be going to Seattle just yet. Hopefully in August... hopefully as a ~4-day stop on my way to Vancouver.
I'm considering moving by mail. In May 2006, Munich->Pittsburgh took ~3 weeks to arrive, ~65Euro per box (weight: 20kg; volume: one of my boxes box fit 1 guitar + 1 banjo + a fair amount of clothing). I couldn't find a previous blog post about the interesting experience of being at a German post office, weighing my goods' personal value against their physical weight.
