today:
* met up with my brother in Sao Paulo, to travel to Recife together
* pleasant Recife accents in the plane
* arriving in Recife, smelled the scent of the sea, felt the busy but laid-back atmosphere of a city beach; noticed the shift in the personal space / warmth trade-off
* heard Frevo march from apartment... failed to catch up with them.
* instead, saw the end of a play about the birth of Jesus (pics to appear), stage mounted at the beach, regional style (pastoril + fireworks)
* house has no parents yet
* tomorrow: my aunt may drag me to the beach
* my 3y10m-old cousin (who moved from Canada this year) must be fully bilingual by now
