If a chiropractor promised to restore the alignment of your back and neck, by means of only spinal manipulations, over 27 sessions (each of which lasts less than 5 minutes of manipulation + 10 minutes on a roller machine), would you believe him?

What does science say?

There are two kinds of chiropractors. The first kind is essentially a physical therapist who specializes in backs. If you have a specific problem, they'll fix it, and pretty quickly. Often giving you exercises to do at home, which cost you nothing.

The second kind is a quack who will tell you that spinal alignment is the root of all your health problems and you need to come back week after week to get yours fixed.

You've just encountered the latter.

The one I'm speaking with, unlike 60% of chiropractors, does not claim that subluxations are the root of most diseases.
