I just learned of Push Singh's death, on its first anniversary. I am quite shocked, because I met him a couple of times and kept in touch for a little while. I felt like I knew him. We were friends on Orkut. Chris McKinstry, a collaborator of his, of MindPixel fame, had also committed suicide not long before. There are conspiracy theories about this.

The other day, I found out about Jim Schmolze's death. He would have been my advisor if I had decided to go to Tufts for a Master's in CS.

I knew Push pretty well. I was absolutely shocked, of course.. he seemed so mellow and balanced. I knew his gf too, poor girl must have had a hell of a time.
