Last Sunday (i.e. the 22nd), I climbed to the top of the hill North of Pitt. Heightwise, it feels about 35% of the way up the Cathedral of Learning. I saw a shack with an upside-down American flag. The views were nice if a bit narrow, because there were no towers or "purpose-designed" scenic-view area.

This Sunday, I went around the downtown clockwise. Point State Park ends in a circle of radius about 30m (with a fountain of radius about 20m). The fountain had red water. I came back up through Polish Hill, which was dumpy yet appealing somehow. Maybe it's the big hill wall so close to downtown. Came back through Liberty Ave.

Just don't get caught in the Hill district after dark. There are some truly bad parts of town.

And if you're going through an unfamiliar, particularly hilly area, check the weather report first.

Learned that one after finding myself in a thunderstorm in the East Hills area.

You mean Polish Hill? Have you heard of anyone getting mugged?

No, he means the Hill district.

And muggings happen everywhere, all the time. The concern here is more along the lines of accidentally being between the wrong two people and getting shot.

I'd like to hear that story sometime.

Are these drug-dealing gangs shooting each other?

It's largely over drugs I would imagine, yes.
