I now remember an intersection in Woburn, MA that would REALLY benefit from the Pittsburgh left. It often happened that the people trying to go left wouldn't move at all during a whole green light.
For some reason, these kinds of situation don't come up very often in Recife. This is probably because all the busy streets are one-way.
