Hotsync weirdness
Aug. 22nd, 2006 02:38 amHotsync weirdness
This was my path to Hotsyncing yesterday:
* remove all other USB devices and reboot
* hit Hotsync button on PDA
* system asks me to locate file palmusbd.sys, and I propose one directory up, i.e. ..
* accept to install new device
* hit hotsync again, and things work
why do I have to reinstall something every time?

But it sounds like you need to not install again, but rather make sure you have uninstalled EVERYTHING, then start again. If windows gets confused, which it sometimes does with USB, and Specifically Palm, then you have to start again.
Yes…I have had this same problem.
