why LJ email notifications aren't working

Because they got a SpamHaus listing. It's been over 3 weeks since the problem started, and although notifications started coming through (with a large delay) when I changed my notification address from optimizelife.com to a columbia.edu one, they stopped again just a few days ago.

As LJ dies out, where will journals go? I like Dreamwidth, but I understand that not everyone is going to pay the $3 needed to start an account. It's a small barrier of entry but it discourages spontaneity, and the site would need to have a critical mass before it can convince enough new users to pay money. Btw, I have one unused DW invite code.

my clothing disappeared

It was a full load of laundry, nothing expensive, but included items that can't be found in North America.

UPDATE: Whoever took it returned it to the laundry room! Seems like an honest mistake! I feel safer again.
