I just got this email:

Dear Webmaster,

I'm Sara from Reach Network, an interactive media company. We run a
popular education resource site and feel that our site could be useful and
relevant to your visitors. I was impressed with optimizelife.com and we
would like to purchase advertising in the form of a short text advertisement on
an interior page. Please let me know if you are interested and we can
talk about rates and the advertising details.
Thanks so much for your consideration.

They don't seem like spammers, so I'm inclined to inquire, just for the experience. Also, a new Internet experience: this week, I sold my first book on Amazon.

At dinner tonight, Meredith was teaching me sign language. She started making fun of me for repeatedly screwing up the handedness: I always made my hand so that it looked the same as her hands from my perspective (when, in fact, it should look like the mirror image, since we were facing each other). This reminded me of how I always find it easier to observe my dance teachers from behind their back. One possible explanation is that mental rotation is harder for me than for most people. Another explanation is that I don't find it easy or natural to take the other person's perspective.

I've recently been asking myself why learning to dance is so difficult for me.
not just about dancing; I hope this post sheds some light on my mind in general )
