refreshingly pessimistic
Mar. 26th, 2005 05:02 pmTo celebrate the arrival of spring, I've decided to take a few moments to think of all the small things that I *DON'T* appreciate.
* All the excess population (tourists), who walk on bicycle paths and who create lines even *inside* the supermarket.
* The fact that you can get nothing done during a Dutch holiday. The fact that they don't warn you that your office will be inaccessible for 4 days straight, especially when you have sharp deadlines on the 31st.
* The weather that's too warm to be wearing a jacket, but not warm enough to leave the jacket at home. The variability in temperature that makes you too cold in the mornings and too warm during the day (this come about a month or so from now). The rainy season of a rainy place... (actually, this last hasn't been as bad as expected)
