The Hot Club of Cowtownis coming to Holland next week! Yee-haa!
Perhaps the most amazing musical moment I have had the pleasure of watching was the improvised twin fiddling of Elana and Matt Glaser. They would often alternate short jazzy licks, sometimes play together creating cool jazz harmonies, and all without losing that bouncy rhythm. And best of all, it's happy music (disregard the lyrics).

This is some shit I want to read because it looks interesting. So in this post, I'm using LJ as an organizational tool for myself (I surely need some of that), though I'd like to my own tool, but as always programming is (currently) a pain in the ass, which brings us back to the reason I wrote this post.

Why is a cool shower so relaxing?

Why is a little coldness relaxing? Why is that cool, fresh feeling so good? I think it has something to do with stimulating the nervous receptors in the skin. Could it be the same reason why caressing feels good (minus the emotional content)?
